Bundesjugendorchester

The Bundesjugendorchester (National Youth Orchestra) and violinist Midori turn to the composers Johannes Brahms and Detlev Glanert. Ludwig van Beethoven's famous letter to the still unknown “immortal beloved” inspired Midori and Glanert to write a violin concerto, the premiere of which was celebrated in Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie in 2021. Glanert also arranged Johannes Brahms' “Variations on a Theme by Schumann”. A further tribute to Johannes Brahms follows with Arnold Schoenberg's orchestral version of  “Intermezzo” and “Rondo alla Zingarese” from Johannes Brahms' Piano Quartet in G minor.
