Hakanaï

It sounds like science fiction, and so we’ll start with Star Trek. The legendary series features a place that has always stimulated the imagination: the "holodeck," a space in which virtual worlds are created. Today, it is the art of dance that translates such ideas into reality: in the spectacular choreography "Hakanaï" by the company Adrien M & Claire B, based on projection technology. A graphic universe is generated and interpreted live by an artist as a “digital score”. In this way, the dancer enters into dialogue with an ever-changing graphic universe. The sound design is also created in real time, giving rise to a synesthetic world of sound, image, and dance.
