Late-Evening Twilight

Philharmonia Zürich

The Italian conductor Gianandrea Noseda can be seen on the podium of Milan’s La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Mannheim-born Hanna-Elisabeth Müller caused a sensation in Salzburg as Zdenka in Strauss's Arabella – and now both can be heard at the Festspielhaus in an all-Strauss program including the Four Last Songs. In this work, Strauss composed exquisite silk, translating late-summer rain upon fading flowers into music. A dream program.
