FAQ
The Friends of the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden is a registered association. Members receive an annual invoice for the membership fee or have provided a direct debit authorization. Membership is valid until a member terminates in accordance with the statutes. A donation made by a Supporter, in contrast, is not a fixed membership and thus does not have to be terminated. Both forms of support benefit the Festspielhaus’s artistic program.
Immediately after your registration, you will be listed as a member at the Festspielhaus and will receive all important information, e.g. about exclusive events. The team at the Ticketing Service Center will also be immediately informed about your membership. A few days after your registration, you will receive a formal welcome letter, the statutes, and the invoice for the membership fee from the Friends of the Festspielhaus office.
Yes, you can also order tickets for your family or friends at any time.
As a new member, you will first receive an invoice. You decide whether you would prefer an invoice in the future or to give us a direct debit authorization. It is also possible to pay the membership fee by credit card – if this is your preference, please get in touch with the Festspielhaus contact person.
You will automatically receive a donation receipt from the office a short time after the payment of the annual contribution.
Membership is always aligned with the calendar year. If you join the Friends of the Festspielhaus in July, for example, you will receive membership at half the fee during the first year. Membership continues until terminated by the member in a timely manner.
If you would like to limit the duration of your membership, please get in touch with the Festspielhaus contact person. If you give a membership as a gift, you have several options regarding the duration of the gifted membership. Find out more here: <link
The exclusive Friends of the Festspielhaus events are initially available to members. If there are enough spaces, a member can also bring a friend or acquaintance. However, if the event is fully booked, members always have priority.
Prices of the events are the same for everyone, regardless of whether they are members, supporters, or visitors. Our colleagues at the Ticketing Service Center will be happy to advise you regarding discounts and subscriptions.
The conditions for ticket returns are the same for all visitors. If you are ill and present your ticket cancellation insurance and a doctor’s note, we will refund you the ticket price. In this case, please be sure to contact the team at the Ticketing Service Center.
The use of the Club Lounge is reserved for the Supporters’ and Donors’ circles as well as for the Business Owners’ Circle. We will be happy to answer your questions about the Supporters’ Circle and Business Owners’ Circle.
To become a member, you must be of legal age or present the signature of a legal guardian.
After reaching the age limit, junior membership automatically switches to a regular membership. If you were registered as a junior couple and one of the two reaches the age limit, the membership is divided into two individual memberships (one junior and one individual membership). You can also immediately change the membership to a regular couple membership.
If you have any questions about Friends of the Festspielhaus events, would like to offer positive feedback, criticism, or suggestions, or if you have any other questions about the Friends of the Festspielhaus, please get in touch with your Friends of the Festspielhaus contact person. Questions about the performances or ticket requests for opera/concert/ballet and entertainment can be directed to the Ticketing Service Center. If you have any questions about the invoice or donation receipt, please contact the Friends of the Festspielhaus office. Also feel free to ask the members of the Friends of the Festspielhaus Initiative Group! You can find them at the Friends of the Festspielhaus booth in the foyer before the events and during intermissions. The members will be there for you with help and advice.
