The Neuweier winery and castle have been family-owned since 2012. The historic monopoly locations Schlossberg and Goldenes Loch as well as the Mauerberg are the heart of our estate. Neuweier Castle is one of the oldest and best-preserved moated castles in Germany. The castle and wine-growing history goes back to the 12th century. There were several fortunate circumstances that ensured the preservation of the facility over this long period of time.

In 1992 the entire palace complex was completely renovated. The result is a piece of jewelry with outstanding significance for the entire region. The Schätzle family is a long-established winemaking family - the son Robert Schätzle, as a biotechnologist and oenologist, seamlessly continues the long tradition of viticulture and the series of qualified and committed cellar masters at Neuweier Castle.

All wines can be tasted and purchased here. Moderated wine tastings and guided hikes through the vineyards are possible by arrangement.

SCHLOSS RESTAURANT

In our castle restaurant we rely on high-quality local products that are organically and sustainably produced. When preparing our dishes, we take health aspects of the food into account as well as using it as extensively as possible. The creations of our chef Jan Hoffmann harmonize perfectly with the wines of Robert Schätzle. There are several historical rooms as well as a winter garden and an outdoor terrace.

SCHLOSS SCHÄNKE

We create a unique atmosphere in the Schloss Schänke within historic walls. Small seasonal and hearty dishes are offered and of course our castle estate wine to match.

RESIDENCE

We offer our guests 8 hotel rooms and 2 suites. The rooms are all equipped with modern parquet floors and either have a view of their own vines or the castle with its picturesque inner courtyard or a view over the roofs and vineyards of Neuweier. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating, a flat-screen TV and a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Free water, a safe and Wi-Fi in the rooms and public areas are included.
